There are many, MANY hosts and it can be overwhelming to choose one. No host is perfect, but some hosts either have low prices with poor reviews (low quality), have good prices that increase a lot upon renewal, get very expensive once your traffic increases, or try to upsell you too aggressively. These are hosts that I personally believe have good value and I hope this list helps you!
πΆ Quick Overview:
βShared hosting tends to be the least expensive and it's where your site shares a server with many other sites, which can cause it to be slower and not as secure. Managed hosting (which can include shared, VPS, or dedicated hosting) is different in that the host handles a lot of security and technical tasks for you. Cloud hosting is where the servers are located on the internet, and I think it's best for sites anticipating huge traffic since the server wouldn't be tied down to a physical location so it handles better traffic increase situations. VPS and dedicated hosting might be a bit too much for beginners; VPS hosting is where you'd get your own space within a shared server and Dedicated hosting is where you get a whole server to yourself and share with no other site - it's also very expensive.

π» Tip: This is my opinion but for beginners looking to start a blog, I prefer managed hosting the most because the host does the technical heavy lifting and you can focus on creating content.
