Hi, I’m Vy NoraLeigh! Welcome to my "office," and thank you so much for visiting my site. I started this blog because I loved writing and wanted to encourage others in God's Word so that they can find hope in God’s promises. I love Jesus Christ. 🌸 Some random thoughts/quotes that I like:
- "No pit is so deep that God's love is not deeper still." - Betsie ten Boom
- You never know what weight someone is carrying. Just because he or she carries it well doesn't mean it's easy.
- For some people, it takes everything in them to just get up, get out of the house, and not fall apart
- Some people have gone through trauma that you know nothing about
- Not all wounds are visible
- Be gentle with yourself
"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."
- Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
🌸 To whomever this is for:
This is a broken world, and you don't have to be ashamed if you don't feel okay. You are only human. You are allowed to struggle and you are allowed to heal. Christ knows everything you've been through and He understands you, even when others don't. He knows that you are not perfect. Now you must learn to be kind to yourself, too.
🌸 How to receive Jesus as your personal Savior:
Did you know that Jesus Christ loves you very much and He willingly laid down His life to die for you on the cross? (John 10:17-18) It’s because we are all sinners and we could never earn our way into heaven. None of us are "good!” That's why Jesus came down to the earth He created (God in flesh) and lived a perfect life as a sacrifice so that there is hope for you and me to be in heaven, and not hell, forever.
Jesus never did a single thing wrong! He never was unkind, selfish, or even said something wrong out of stress or frustration. He had perfect self-control, perfect intentions: a beautiful, clean heart. But me and you, we have ALL made mistakes, we have all done or said or thought something wrong. Only ABSOLUTE perfection could purchase our souls from hell.
Jesus died in our place - we who deserve to be punished. He ransomed our souls so that we wouldn't have to go to hell. Heaven and hell are FOR EVER!
God wants to give you real peace, joy, unconditional love, guidance, and everything that your heart has been searching for. I promise you that your life will CHANGE when you make Jesus your Savior. He died to have a relationship with you.
All you have to do is ask for forgiveness, repent (turn away from your sins), ask Him to come into your heart, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will guide, teach, and comfort you throughout your life.
You don't have to "work" to be saved because we are not worthy. We cannot earn that ... just like with our parents ... when we say or do something wrong that makes them sad... it doesn't mean they don't love us anymore. In the same way, it is impossible for us to earn God's love, just like we cannot earn salvation. It is a free gift.
Just say this prayer out loud, from your heart:
"Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. Please forgive me for all of my sins- for everything that I have said, done or thought wrong. I repent and turn away from them. Please help me to live a holy life because I cannot do it without You. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him back to life on the third day so that through Him I can have eternal life. Jesus, please come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord of my life.”
